Out of School Care
The Dalhousie Out of School Care Program is a licensed child care program currently in the process of achieving accreditation status. We provide before and after school care for children in kindergarten and grades one through six. We operate from two locations:
- the Dalhousie Community Centre (with a supervised walking program to and from the Dalhousie Community Kindergarten (located in the Dalhousie Community Centre) and West Dalhousie Elementary School).
- the St Dominic’s Elementary school at 4820 Dalhart Road NW – just down the road from our community centre.
Children from other area schools are welcome to attend our program, but we cannot provide transportation to and from other schools.
Additionally, our program offers:
- a limited number of drop-in day camp openings for school holidays,
- summer day camps throughout July and August. All day camps are located in our community centre.
We are operated by the Dalhousie Community Association. We are located centrally in the north west community of Dalhousie with full access to the area’s numerous playgrounds, recreation fields and indoor facilities. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of quality childcare services and are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for your children, with a rich variety of activities, outdoor play, and physical activity.
